Eric Kinder on the Reserve win over Accrington Stanley:

"It was a very enjoyable game to watch. It was good to be able to stand on the sidelines, watching the professionals, and it was good to see the lads who were making their debut.

The manner in which they started the game; the enthusiasm, the commitment and the way that they attacked, was fantastic.

I thought it was a really comfortable win against a side that had come to try and spoil the game. We haven't got involved in any of the silly stuff, which is credit to the players. It could easily have happened, but we are always professional about that, which is a pleasing thing. Let's face it, the last thing we want is to be picking up red cards in Reserve team football.

I thought that Darren Campion was very good tonight, and he won every header. For a lad the size he is, he certainly doesn't lose many in the air.

I thought Evan Horwood had a very solid debut, and he's a good signing. He's here for the next few years, and I think he'll become a firm favourite, because he can play football and he's a good defender. I'm pleased with Evan, he's settled in quickly, and I think he'll make a real mark here.

Grant Smith is a good footballer, and you can see that in him. It's going to take him a few games to get to full match fitness, but he is another very decent addition to the squad.

I thought that Kev Gall took his goals extremely well. It looks like he's giving us a fight, and he's not going to let Danny Graham and Joe Garner have it all their own way. Both he and Danny Carlton will keep the pressure on those two, which is all you can ask for.

Shaun Vipond was playing out of position, but he did well. Luke Joyce was getting forward, always looking to score goals, so overall the night has been a good one for us.

If we want to be ultra-critical, which I always am, we could say that we could have played a bit more football, and we could have scored a few more goals, but winning 3-0 against a side that came here to spoil the game is something to be pleased about.

I'm also very pleased with my two. Gary Madine came on and did not look out of place at all. He looked comfortable and he looked strong. Connor Tinnion is a nervous lad at the best of times, but I sent him on and he reacted well. I know him inside out and I know for a fact that he will have statrted to panic as soon as I gave him the nod, but he showed little glimpses of what we can expect to see in the future.

Overall it has been a very good night. The senior players have given the manager something to think about, and that's all we can ever ask for.

They can come in and either play like they did, and give the manager some problems, or they can come in have a sulk, and make it easy for him. They haven't done that in this game, and that makes my job easy. The last thing you want is the manager and Greg coming down to the dressing room at half time and reading the riot act. You want them to come down and comment on how well things are going, and that's what we got, so it really is full credit to the lads for making it happen.

We took Grant Smith off simply because he hadn't played for three months, and we've got to ease him back in to it, Neale McDermott came off because the manager wanted Gary Madine to have half an hour, because he deserves that as reward for his performances in the Youth team over the course of the last few weeks. Everybody else came through it feeling fine, so it's a game and a performance that they can all feel good about."
