United found it to be comfortable going in a first half that they controlled:

1 min - Carlton received the ball 30 yards from goal, spotted the run of Kevin Gall and slid it right in to his path. Gall outpaced his marker, kept his composure and curled it around the keeper from just inside the 18-yard box.
