Eric Kinder spoke to us about an impressive victory over Tranmere for his Reserve side:

"After the Morecambe performance at the beginning of the season, when I think most people would agree that most of the senior players, and the young players in the side, didn't play to the standard required, we upped our game at Wrexham last week and followed on from that today, and we totally dominated.

The pro's were very good, and out of the young lads that played, Dan Wordsworth was outstanding. He gave a terrific performance along side Peter Murphy.

It was always our intention to give Peter 60 minutes. He knows his own body better than anybody, and he came off after 60 minutes with no problems at all. We've got him through that, and it was good to see him back.

Lummy played 60 minutes and, again, it was always our intention to do that. We had Friday in mind with him because he's a vital member of the first team squad.

Danny Carlton scored again, which is good for him, and he's continually pushing the front two in the first team for a place. I'm sure now, on the back of his two goals at Wrexham and another one today, that he's given Greg something to think about.

Our overall performance was very, very good. We moved the ball well, we kept it, we defended when we had to, and we always looked a danger going forward. We went 1-0 up from a fantastic finish from Neale McDermott, and we took that in to half time.

Danny got on to a good ball through from Lummy and produced another good goal, proving what a good finisher he is, and Neale capitalised on a bit of a mix up in Tranmere's penalty box.

We could have had a few more, but we're not being greedy.

We're pleased about today, and the youngsters didn't do themselves any harm at all.

Jamie Mullan did well on the right. Trial players can come and go - some give you problems that you need to talk about, and I think Jamie has done that. We'll have a staff meeting and a chat, and see where Greg wants to take that one.

Darren Campion thoroughly deserves his short term contract. Hopefully he will continue to improve and we'll see good things from him."
