Luke Joyce joined United from Wigan Athletic in March 2006.
Initially at Brunton Park on work experience the young midfielder signed a permanent deal after some impressive displays in the Reserves.
A very energetic player, he prefers to sit as protection in front of the back four whilst giving another option in midfield.
He made his debut when he came off the bench in the Cheltenham game in the 2006/07 season and enjoyed a regular run of appearances towards the end of the season, scoring his first goal for the club with a late run from midfield, which became something of a trademark of his as the season moved on.
Under contract until the summer of 2009.
