Simon Hackney joined Carlisle United in February 2005 from Woodley Sports after playing as a trialist in two United Reserve games, scoring in each of them.
Now a firm crowd favourite at Brunton Park, his speed and trickery down the wing, coupled with the ability to put a great cross in to the box, makes him an exciting player to watch.
An eye catching footballer, he is described as a 'match winner' when he is on his game, and made the left wing spot his own in the 2007/08 season.
