HAWLEY FLIES THE CUMBRIAN FLAG
Carlisle United's prolific striker Karl Hawley is London bound tonight as an official guest at the inaugural Football League Awards ceremony, in association with Four Four Two magazine, as he finds himself on the short list to receive the Football League Two Player of the Season Award.

24 year old Hawley, who has 19 League goals to his name so far, has set the division alight this season with both his goal scoring feats and his all round play.
The League Two award, sponsored by Coca-Cola, is part of 19 different awards that will be handed out at the London Hilton in Park Lane tonight.
Paul Simpson explained, "we're all delighted that Karl's efforts have been recognised and, obviously, we all hope he picks up the award tonight. He has worked extremely hard, not just by scoring goals for us but by playing his part in everything that the team has done this season. He's a great lad and it would be fantastic if he was to come home with the award under his arm."
The Hitman won't have too much time to linger in London following the ceremony as the Boss explained, "he's due back for training tomorrow as we have a big game to get ready for on Tuesday night against Macclesfield. Like I say, hopefully he'll have an award to show us all when he does get back."
