CUFC ARCHIVE
As discussed at the recent Fans Feedback Group meeting here at Brunton Park, we think that everyone is very aware that for a club that is steeped in so much history - we have next to no history!
Recent efforts to claw some of that back have seen themed bars, photo montages and a variety of displays crop up around the ground but it still seems like it's only the tip of the iceberg.
Anecdotes as to what happened to our archives and some of our more collectable memorabilia have done the rounds, and we're sure you've all heard them and have formed your own opinion, so we are now in the position where, if we really want to be able to celebrate our past, we need to locate where some of it is.
This is where the Feedback Group have stepped in.
What they would like you to do is to get in touch with them to let them know whether you have any old clippings, photographs, memorabilia or CUFC artefacts that you would be willing to donate or loan to the club.
Once we find out how much stuff is actually out there, and how much of it our fans are willing to share with others, then we can take the next step of deciding how and where it will be best to display it.
So, if you have anything at all that you feel may be of interest, and you are willing to either donate or loan it to the club, please send an email to:
Give as many details as you can on what the item is, what period it relates to and any other details that you feel tells the story behind the piece.
Sue Bradley, in conjunction with Michael Scott, will be working on this project in the coming weeks and, hopefully, will be able to put together a comprehensive database that will be the starting point from which we can really push on with some kind of tangible CUFC Archive.
Have a dig through those cupboards, see what you find, and as that old piccie, clipping or signed piece of history puts a smile on your face - just think what reaction it would bring for others.
Please help. This club has a fantastic pedigree. It's about time we celebrated that fact.
