Full update tomorrow
United captain Kev Gray was kept in the dressing at half time of tonight's unbelievable LDV Trophy encounter with Tranmere after reporting some discomfort in his thigh as he came in for the break.

Simmo told us after the game, "it looks like he has suffered a slight strain in his thigh and we didn't want to risk making it any worse at all. That's why we made the change and, obviously, we'll get more of an idea about what has happened when we have a look at him tomorrow."

"I thought the players reacted extremely well to the changes we had to make in defence and Grandy showed a real strength of character when he took his penalty, even though he was suffering with severe cramp by then."

We'll bring full match reaction and an injury update on the Official site tomorrow.
