Livesey to be rested

Central defender Danny Livesey, who has played along side Kev Gray in a ten game run that has seen the Cumbrians pick up 16 points, has been ruled out of the LDV match tonight after failing to shrug off an ankle injury he picked up in training yesterday.

The rejuvenated centre back has picked up two man of the match awards since his return to the side at the end of October, but fell awkwardly during the morning training session on Monday.

Simmo spoke to us as the team arrived at the ground tonight and said, "we hoped he would shrug it off, and that it was just a slight twist, but it is still uncomfortable for him. We aren't prepared to risk him any further so he will be rested and, hopefully, we can get him right for the weekend."
