The United Staff Ten Pin Bowling competition turned in to a hotly contested affair last week, with many of the club's departments pitted against each other in an attempt to claim the bragging rights come Monday morning.

It turned out to be a great night out, enjoyed by all, but John Halpin, who still has the same competitive edge that made him a crowd favourite here at Brunton Park, was determined to claim his trophy and with James, Matt, Barry and Nick all knocking their pins down with alarming regularity, there was only ever going to be one winner.
