26 year old central midfielder Jamie McClen has accepted a 6 month contract offer that was put on the table yesterday and will stay with the club until at least January 2006.

The ex-Newcastle player had initial talks with manager Paul Simpson yesterday and contacted the manager last night to confirm that he was more than happy to stay.

Paul Simpson said, "midfield is a very competitive area for us at the moment and it is now up to Jamie to show us what he can do.  He has enjoyed himself since he joined us and we are happy to have him on board.  He has worked hard and we hope to see more of the same in the coming months."
