23-year-old midfielder Neale McDermott, who joined the club in August 2006, has had his contract with the club terminated by mutual consent this afternoon.

McDermott, an ex-Newcastle United trainee, made 18 appearances for United, scoring 3 goals, but has featured just one this season, when he came off the bench to replace Paul Thirlwell in the League Cup defeat against Coventry at the end of August.
