The membership of the London Branch of the Carlisle United Supporters Club passed 300 recently.

Formed in 1974 it has continued to provide a network for exiled United fans to share transport to games, take part insocial activities such as supporters football matches, order match tickets and attend monthly meetings.

It was Mark Grieve from Tirley who joined with his sons Callum aged 9 and Cameron aged 5, that allowed the London Branch to reach the milestone. The boys brought the total of Brunton Blues within the Branch to 60, many of whom you will notice as mascots at away games.

The 240th edition of the fanzine ' Hit the Bar ' will be out before the Millwall fixture. Around 100 spare copies are sold on matchdays and in the Blues Stores with all proceeds going to the club.

The Branch have sponsored in recent years an upgrade to the media area in the West stand, school initiatives and funded specific equipment. This year they have been very proud sponsors of the award winning Matchday Magazine.

The annual donation, this year for £2725, was made at the Orient game by one of the founder members Malcolm Fawcett. Malcolm is moving to USA to work and one of his many roles, that of website manager, has just been
filled. The website www.carlislelondonbranch.org is currently undergoing a revamp.

The Branch meet every third Thursday of the month and on 17 April the meetings move to a new venue in central London. This meeting will see a free raffle of a signed CUFC shirt, kindly donated by the club, in recognition of this achievement.
