NOTICE TO ALL PRESS / PHOTOGRAPHERS
The Football League and Premier League have introduced a new Photo ID card system for all media and photographers seeking to enter club grounds on matchdays during the forthcoming season.
The new card is intended to help clubs ensure that only genuine representatives of media organisations attend their matches, thus enabling security arrangements to be as vigilant as possible.
The new card scheme will take effect from the beginning of the new season and will run in tandem with the existing licensing scheme for written media and photographers. Already, all licensed media companies have been asked to provide pictures of their staff to Football Dataco, who will issue them with their new cards without charge.
Broadcasters (radio and television) are also required to have Photo ID cards and they will be expected to supply the relevant card numbers for their attending representatives when they apply for accreditation.
All media will be expected to present their ID cards to club staff when signing in on matchdays.
If your agency has not received details on how to apply for accreditation and / or Photo ID, please contact the club at the earliest opportunity.
