Carlisle United Football Club would like to clarify the situation with regard to the future installation of seats in the terraced areas of the ground.

We can confirm, as recently reported, that a study was carried out to ascertain the suitability of the options available to the club, should we find ourselves in a position where we are legally required to install further seats at Brunton Park.

The intention of the study was to outline costs, feasibility and timescales for each of the available options so that the Board of Directors could discuss the best way forward for the club.

The club has listened to all of the recent feedback, in particular with regard to the installation of seats in the Paddock, acknowledging that it is always important to hear the views of its supporters.

The club remains focussed on achieving continued success, both on and off the field, and will re-assess all factors and areas that will be affected, as necessary, as we continue to move forward.
