IT'S A SORE POINT
All of the latest injury news from Dolly:
Adam Bradley is continuing with his treatment and rehabilitation. He's on the static bikes, and we are also starting with some strengthening exercises around his knee. He's probably still another couple of weeks away from getting back in to full training with the lads.
Jeff Smith missed the game on Saturday because of the stitches he picked up in the Yeovil game. Unfortunately the injury is on his left foot, and it's exactly where he strikes the ball. We took the stitches out on Saturday, but he needs to get to where he's more comfortable with that, before we can get him kicking a ball again.
Paul Thirlwell had a scan last Wednesday, and that has shown a rupture of a muscle fibre, which wasn't what we had expected. It's quite bad news really, as it means he'll be out for about a month. He had trained with us and we thought it was getting better, but it hasn't, so we sent him for another scan and that's what has shown up.
Matthew Wood damaged his ankle ligaments 9 days ago and he's still a week or two away from getting back in to full training. It's nothing too bad, so we'll start some rehab work on that this week.
The only other injury I've been treating this morning is Kev Gray. He damaged his ankle ligaments a couple of weeks ago. Obviously he's still at Chesterfield, but he's having a bit of treatment and rehabilitation with us to save him travelling, as he still lives up here.
That's all for now.
Keep well,
Dolly
