THE LATEST INJURY LIST
All of the latest injury news from Dolly:
Jeff Smith had a couple of stitches in his foot at half time against Yeovil. He's done some gym work with me today, and he'll be back with the lads around about Thursday, I would imagine. I don't foresee any problems for him, and he should be available for the weekend.
Paul Thirlwell is back in light training. It's basically been a problem with the nerves that come through his calf muscle, originating from the lower back region. They have become irritated and he's been getting a few problems with that. We are working on that, making sure that everything is in alignment and that the nerves are running freely through the calf muscle. Now it's just a case of building up his workload. At the moment everything is going ok for him. I would think that he's doubtful for this weekend, but I'm hopeful of getting him to play some part in the Reserve fixture next Wednesday, at home to Preston.
Joe Anyinsah was struggling last week with a tight groin / thigh problem. He did a bit of training with the lads on Friday, and came on as substitute in the Yeovil game. He didn't have any reaction after that game, which is good news. We didn't want to turn it into something that might have put him out in the longer term. He's trained today with no problems.
Ged Dalton got a heck of a nose bleed on Saturday. It's bled again today, but it's nothing for him to really to worry about. He'll be fine.
Adam Bradley has sprained his medial ligaments. That happened in the warm up before the Chester match, and he will be out for two to three weeks.
Matthew Wood went over on his ankle in the Youth game at the weekend, when he was involved in a challenge with one of their players. We are just assessing that at present, but it looks like he will be out for two or three weeks as well. There does appear to be some damage to his ankle ligaments, so we will have to keep a close eye on that.
That's all for now,
Keep well,
Dolly
