NO NEW INJURIES
All the latest from Dolly:
Danny Graham got a bit of a kick to his foot at the weekend. I spoke to him today and he's fine, and has no problems with that.
Karl Hawley trained for a couple of days last week and came on as sub on Saturday. He's looking sharp, which is good. He'll probably be involved in the Reserve game this week to give him another little run out, which he needs. He was aching a bit after Saturday's match, but that's to be expected when he's been out for 8 weeks. It's always the same scenario with ankles and knees, you get back and you get a little bit of irritation afterwards, but nothing too much to write home about. He'll be fine and has trained today.
Liam Atkin is improving. He's started on his CV work and we are hoping to have him running at some stage next week. He's finished for the season, but the good news is that he's making good progress and will be fighting fit for the start of next season.
Simon Hackney had a good week in Lilleshall, having some rehab there. We had some tests done on his leg while he was there, just to see where he was at strengthwise. He's still about 50% down on his right to his left leg, which will take time to get back so, unfortunately, he isn't going to be back in training for this League season, although he could possibly make a return for the Play Offs. If we get to the final then he might have a chance for that. As far as competitve matches and full training with the lads over the next couple of weeks is concerned, he won't be doing that. It's a little bit disappointing, but these things do take time and it's better to make sure that he's right for next season rather than try and rush him back. He'll be fine for pre-season.
Paul Murray has a check up with the surgeon this week, and we'll know a little bit more after that. He'll be starting his rehab this week, and that will be roughly an 8 week programme before he's fully fit, so he'll be fit for the start of the season, all being well.
That's all for now,
Keep well,
Dolly
