BOYS U11 BT COMMUNITY CUP

All of those who attended our last Saturday home game are pretty much in agreement - the Sea King helicopter landing was absolutely breath-taking.

We'd like to thank Group Captain Dawn McCafferty (Inspectorate of Recruiting RAF - pictured below with Foxy) and the crew from RAF Boulmer for delivering the match ball and for making it a memorable day for everyone.

It made it particularly memorable for the lads from Maryport CE Jnr School who will now go to the regional finals at Bury FC to represent Carlisle United FC in the Boys Under 11 BT Community Cup.
They were the winners of the competition and here is their journey to the Final:

The Competition kicks off with 26 teams from all over Cumbria taking part. The Teams that competed were: Richmond Hill - Cumwhinton, St Bede's, St Cuthberts, Inglewood Ashfield, Kingmoor St Margaret Mary's, Jericho Maryport, Belle Vue Cummersdale, Yewdale Bowness-on-Solway, Bishop Harvey Petteril Bank, Stanwix Bolton Low Houses, Castle Carrick Scotby, Brampton Robert Ferguson, Norman St Holm Coltrum, Ewanrigg Fairfield
The 26 teams were split into 4 groups with 2 groups competing in the morning session and 2 groups competing in the afternoon session. The winners of the morning session (Ewanrigg Jnr) went on to the final at Brunton Park against the winners of the afternoon session (Maryport CE Jnr).
