The £10,000 draw for Blues Lotto was made tonight at the Gosling Bridge, Carlisle.

Licensee Barbara Monaghan pressed the button and the computer came to rest on membership number 2802.

Blues Lottto manager Ewan Wood told us: "The number belonged to a lady called Isabel Carr. When I rang her to tell her the good news, she wasn't sure whether to believe it at first, and I think she thought I was going to try and sell her some double glazing!"

Once Ewan had convinced her she really had won the jackpot, Isabel, from Currock, Carlisle, got a lift to the Gosling Bridge with her daughter, where she was able to collect the cheque in person.

Asked what she was going to spend the money on, Isabel said she would have a few drinks and think about it!
